The RISE Method
The RISE Method Online Course
Living with POTS, EDS, or MCAS can feel like navigating an unpredictable storm. If you are exhausted from decoding conflicting medical advice alone at midnight, welcome home.
I’m Jen Beard, Health and Wellness Coach at POTS Warriors, and I built the RISE Method Online Course because I know exactly what it's like to feel lost in that storm. This is everything I’ve learned about navigating these conditions, packaged into a structured, step-by-step curriculum designed specifically for your dysautonomia journey. I didn't want to hand you just another library of overwhelming video clips. Instead, I wanted to give you a compassionate roadmap to help you work with your nervous system, build deep self-awareness, master your health, and reclaim control over your daily life. You get to go entirely at your own pace here—but you will never have to go it alone.
The RISE Method is a four-phase coaching framework for living well with POTS, EDS, and MCAS, created by Jen Beard of POTS Warriors. RISE stands for Rebuild, Innerwork, Strengthen, and Evolve. It starts with the daily basics that stabilize your body, calms an overactive nervous system, teaches you to pace, and then shows you how to read your own patterns so flares stop being surprises.
Core Features & Pillars
🧱 R - Rebuild: The Foundation
Most POTS advice stops at salt and water. Rebuild goes further with the FSSN foundation: Fluids, Sleep, Sunlight, and Nutrition. You'll also learn how EDS and MCAS overlap with POTS, which tests to ask for, and how to build a care team that listens.
🧠 I - Inner Work: Calm the Alarm System
POTS keeps your body stuck in fight-or-flight. Innerwork uses vagus nerve toning, gut health, and nutrition to turn the stress response down so your body has room to recover.
💪 S - Strengthen: Pace and Rebuild Capacity
This is where you get your life back on purpose. You'll learn to pace work, social plans, and travel using your own symptom data. Movement always progresses from lying down to seated to standing, and it's built to complement the plan you make with your physical therapist.
🌱 E - Evolve: Read your Patterns
Evolve teaches you to track what predicts a good day or a bad one: morning resting heart rate, sleep quality, food and symptom logs, even barometric pressure. Once you can see the pattern, you can plan around it.
You will shift your focus from merely tracking agonizing symptoms to proactively recognizing your body's "yellow lights" before a full flare-up strikes. The curriculum balances scientific education with physical techniques, ensuring you walk away with an actionable, personalized health protocol built around your actual life constraints.

Who is this program for?
The RISE Method is for adults living with POTS, EDS, or MCAS who want a clear plan for daily life. It's also for parents supporting a teen through diagnosis.
This program is for you if:
• You're living with POTS, EDS, or MCAS, or you think you might be.
• You've been told it's all in your head.
• Salt and water were the whole plan, and they weren't enough.
• You look fine on the outside, but nobody sees how hard the day really is.
• Your flares feel random, and you want to know what's driving them.
• You want to work, travel, and make plans again without paying for it later.
• You're ready to do the daily work, one phase at a time.
It's not for you if:
• You want a diagnosis or a prescription. I'm a coach, not a doctor. I work alongside your medical team.
• You want a quick fix. This takes steady, daily work.

-
No. It's an educational coaching framework. It works alongside your medical care, not in place of it.
-
Yes. The curriculum is entirely self-paced. It is explicitly crafted for variable energy levels, meaning you can consume the lessons and practice the physical pacing exercises whenever your body allows.
-
This program is built from the ground up by Jen Beard of POTS Warriors, utilizing lived experience and specific wellness coaching methodologies for complex conditions like POTS, EDS, and MCAS. It focuses on functional daily application rather than generic lifestyle advice.
-
No. While designed around POTS and dysautonomia markers, anyone experiencing similar overlapping symptoms—such as orthostatic intolerance, chronic fatigue, or severe nervous system dysregulation—will find immediate value in these regulation protocols.
-
Because the course is fully self-paced, there is zero pressure to keep up with a rigid schedule. The pre-recorded video sessions are broken down into bite-sized, easily digestible modules ranging from 10 to 15 minutes each. You can engage with the material for just an hour a week, or take multiple weeks on a single pillar—the curriculum is designed to adapt to your body's energy levels, not the other way around.
-
Absolutely. In fact, that is exactly when you need these tools the most. The foundational "Rebuild" and "Inner Work" modules focus heavily on horizontal pacing, breathing techniques, and nervous system regulation that require zero physical exertion. You can watch or listen to the sessions straight from bed and practice working with your nervous system while your body rests.
